The Lions Club of Delhi affiliated to the Lions Club International was chartered on 11th Feb., 1956 and has the unique distinction of being the first Chartered Club of India. Twenty Eight members representing different segments of the society were designated as Charter Members as per the rules of the International Organization. The membership of the club represented the Elite of the City who were willing and capable to take up social work to help the underprivileged sections of the society with the service projects. The Lions Club of Delhi has completed sixty years in service to humanity
