Shri S. K. Sharma was inspired to establish the S.K.S. Educational and Social Trust in July 2000 to set up institutions of excellence for general and technical education. The foundation stone of the S.K.S. Public School at Mangalpur, Raniganj was laid on Saturday, 23 June 2001. The school was inaugurated on Monday, 8 July 2002. It is a co-educational English Medium Senior Secondary School situated at Mangalpur, Raniganj, west Bengal.
