The school was established on the 8th of February 1985, considering the paramount need to provide an opportunity to young children to obtain good education in all its encompassing sense and particularly to inculcate culture, refinement and enlightened horizons. St. Peter’s was founded by Mrs Patricia Khanna with her husband Sqn. Ldr. S.S Khanna (Retd.) The school was originally housed in a three storied residential building in sector -18, Chandigarh, was adapted and improved for the primary purpose as an educational building. It moved to its permanent location in sector 37-B, Chandigarh in the year 1999. The present site measuring two acres, houses a very attractive campus with bright and well furnished classrooms. The school is under the management of St. Peter’s Educational Society. The governing body deals with overall management of the school and concerns itself mainly with the finance and general welfare. It also lays down broad educational policies. The Principal assisted by the staff runs the school effectively. The school is unaided.
