Mohatab then Chief Minister of Odisha and the school started its journey of faith under the supervision of Rev. E.G. Collins, the first principal of the school. Mr. Collins dreamt in opening of a new Boarding house in Stewart School, Bhubaneswar and to make it the best managed hostel in the Eastern India at a time when other hostels were closing down.
